Celtic might not have achieved victory in their final match ahead of returning to Premiership action but they certainly got in amongst the goals during a 4-3 friendly defeat to Stade Rennais.
Ange Postecoglou's men were facing off against Ligue 1 side Rennes in Portugal after a quiet training camp abroad was capped off with a behind closed doors friendly against French opposition. They found themselves 4-1 down at one stage in the match after a goal rush from their opponents but soon they would eat into the deficit.
Matt O'Riley struck a double against Rennes while Kyogo Furuhashi also got on the scoresheet in what proved to be an action-packed warm-up prior to their Premiership title defence starting again at Aberdeen next weekend. You can watch all the goals from this one above, with this tie all about getting minutes into players, including new signing Yuki Kobayashi from Vissel Kobe while Celtic captain Callum McGregor made his return from a knee injury picked up two months ago versus RB Leipzig.
Others like Carl Starfelt who have been short on matches this term were involved as attentions now turn to retaining their title on top of trying to win both the League Cup and Scottish Cup.
