It was a kick about in aid of charity, but that didn't prevent one Celtic fan getting a bit too riled up by Liverpool fans' taunts.
A healthy travelling support travelled from Glasgow to Merseyside for the Liverpool vs Celtic Legends game. There were some famous faces on show, including former Rangers boss Steven Gerrard, as the exhibition match provided the Reds and hoops fans a football fix outside of the international calendar.
It was the former Ibrox boss who opened the scoring from the penalty spot. That it was in front of the Celtic end at Anfield made it extra sweet for gerrard, who wasn;t shy in celebrating in front of it as some took their response too far and launched objects at the Reds legend. Mark Gonzalez added a second as the hosts won the game. As usual, there was some light hearted ribbing between those who were situated close to the opposition support.
One tried to respond by whipping off his strip and launching over the segregation barrier. Quite what his expected outcome was was unclear, but his attempt was woefully short and he found himself down a replica top as it floated into no-man's land.
