The Washington Commanders trailed the Jacksonville Jaguars 22-20 late in the fourth quarter, with quarterback Carson Wentz facing a 3rd & 8 with under two minutes remaining.
Would Wentz play it safe and play for the field goal? Or would he go for it all?
Well, of course, Wentz for the big play. On the third down play, Wentz dropped back and found rookie wide receiver Jahan Dotson for a 24-yard touchdown to give the Commanders a 26-22 lead with 1:46 remaining in the game.
Instead of kicking the extra point, head coach Ron Rivera went for the 2-point conversion after missing one earlier. Wentz found running back J.D. McKissic, and Washington held a 28-22 lead.
