The knee injury to running back Nick Chubb early in the 2023 season was a significant blow to the Cleveland Browns’ offense. It was the second time he had suffered a significant knee injury, leaving some to wonder when we would see him in 2024.
Some social media videos show great progress, which makes me optimistic that he will return sooner rather than later. On Monday, the film group documenting his rehab and recovery posted another video showing Chubb’s knee doing just fine.
In the video, Chubb is squatting over 500 pounds multiple times, just eight months since his surgery to repair his knee. The possibility that Chubb could be ready to play in September or even week one is becoming more and more realistic. We still don’t know how his knee will respond to contact, and the team could play it safe early, but it’s safe to say Chubb is crushing his rehab with training camp kicking off next week.
