The Cleveland Browns offensive line, specifically the offensive tackle position, was plagued with injuries in 2023, with the top three all suffering season-ending injuries. Veteran Jack Conklin announced on social media that he is back, but Dawand Jones is the only one of the three who participated in off-season workouts.
Jones is recovering from a knee injury and recently played basketball at his old high school. The video, posted on social media, really highlights his crazy athleticism for his size. With training camp just around the corner, it is clear that Jones is healthy and ready to head into his second NFL season.
The Browns have an interesting decision to make at right tackle this year. It is clear that Dawand Jones is the future at the position, but when healthy, Jack Conklin is one of the best in the game. Personally, I would start Jones and have Conklin be the swing tackle this season.
