Watch: 'Broken' Rohit Sharma in tears after India's T20 World Cup semi-final exit

NEW DELHI: As India lost to England in the second semi-final of the T20 World Cup and exited the tournament on Thursday, the heartbreaking result was an unwarranted emotional experience for a billion cricket fans and the players. England completely outplayed Rohit Sharma and co, winning the match emphatically by 10 wickets.

The pain of the crushing defeat was quite evident on the faces of the India players after the result. Skipper Rohit Sharma, who led the team through to the semis was seen in tears in the dugout after the match ended.

The emotional video of Rohit, with his head down and in tears went viral on social media soon after the outcome of the match.

India had a really bad day in the knockout match as England demolished Team India to storm into the final. After restricting India to a par 168 on a good batting wicket, England openers Alex Hales and Jos Buttler registered a record partnership to knock India out of the competition.

England will now face Pakistan in the final on Sunday in Melbourne.
