Fire officers raced to the Burnbank area of Hamilton this morning to tackle a car fire.
Residents in the area were awoken by the blaze around 1am.
Video footage circulating social media shows flames rage from the front of the car before brave Scottish Fire and Rescue officers attend to douse the blaze.
They can be seen tackling the fire and then checking the vehicle for sign of life.
A SFRS spokeswoman told Lanarkshire Live : “We were alerted at 12.58am on Wednesday to reports of a car fire on Waverley Crescent, Hamilton.
“Operations control mobilised one appliance to the scene to extinguish the fire and make the area safe.
“There were no reported casualties.”
There is no suggestion yet to say whether the fire was started deliberately, but one person commented online: "Another one.
"I know it's not on our street again, but can't believe how many there has been."
Police Scotland say they are “aware” of the incident.
