WATCH: Boston’s Jayson Tatum scores 54 points vs. Brooklyn Nets

All-Star Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum had himself a historic game against the Brooklyn Nets on Sunday afternoon, tying Celtics Hall of Famer Larry Bird for the Celtics record of total career 50-point games in Boston’s 126 – 120 win over the Nets at TD Garden.

The St. Louis native scored 54 points in total, along with 5 rebounds, and 3 assists while shooting a sizzling 16-of-30 from the field, 8-of-15 from beyond the arc, and a rock-solid 14-of-17 from the charity stripe to secure what was perhaps the most important victory of the Celtics 2021-22 campaign to date.

It was the second-highest point total of Tatum’s career to date, and the third-most ever scored by a Celtic in the seven-decade history of the franchise.

If you missed the game, or just want to revel in the glory that was the Dule product’s offensive explosion against Brooklyn this weekend, check out the clip embedded above courtesy of the NBA.
