For the first time leading up to the FIBA World Cup later this month, Team USA faced a challenge on Sunday.
It played against Spain in an exhibition contest, and for the first three quarters, the outcome was very much in doubt. But the Americans went on a run early in the fourth quarter to give them separation, and they earned a 98-88 victory.
While New York Knicks star Jalen Brunson led the way with 21 points and made all nine of his shot attempts, the Los Angeles Lakers’ Austin Reaves helped out with 11 points. He provided a couple of highlights while contributing to Team USA’s win.
