A NASA astronaut revealed his bone-chilling view of Hurricane Milton from outer space on Tuesday, as the deadly Category 4 storm barrels towards Florida, threatening millions in the Sunshine State.
Matthew Dominick posted the incredible view of Hurricane Milton from the Dragon Endeavor spacecraft. The astronaut is a member of the SpaceX Crew-8 mission, which has been delayed because of the storm.
Dominick wrote that his followers can "Expect lots of images from this window as this is where I'm sleeping while we wait to undock and return to Earth."
In a follow-up tweet, Dominick also shared a 21-second timelapse of the hurricane from his spacecraft.
Dominick's posts quickly went viral on the social media platform. Users were quick to point out the mammoth size of the storm. User @ernesto_lana conceded "Milton looks massive" before sharing he will be praying for anyone who can't evacuate.
Other users lamented the potential destruction the Category 5 storm may leave in its wake. User @youvegotajmail wrote, "The loss of life and destruction this is about to cause is super depressing to think about."
