Aston Villa were held to a 2-2 draw by Brighton at Villa at Villa Park and you can watch the highlights below.

The Seagulls got off to a flying start in the Midlands, taking the lead after just 12 minutes through Ivory Coast international, Simon Adingra.

The 22-year-old was quickest to react following a save from Bart Verbruggen and lashed the ball into the bottom right corner.

Unai Emery was forced into an early substitution, as Pau Torres could not continue and the Spaniard was replaced by Tyrone Mings for his second appearance of the season.

Just 10 minutes later, Villa had their chance to equalise as the hosts were awarded a penalty following a lengthy VAR review for a foul on Morgan Rogers.

Ollie Watkins was handed the responsibility from 12-yards out and the England international found the back of the net to bring the match level at half time.

It was Aston Villa made an electrifying start to the second half, as Rogers found the bottom left corner following a superb pass from Watkins.

The hosts were in cruise control for the majority of the half, as Brighton failed to create anything of note and did not threaten Emiliano Martinez.

However, with just eight minutes reaming the visitors managed to find an equaliser through a surprising outlet in Tariq Lamptey.

The Ghanaian received the ball from Joao Pedro before composing himself and lashing the ball into the bottom left corner.

Neither side could find a winner meaning Brighton’s winless run in the Premier League continued as the Seagulls have now failed to win in their last seven.
