Watch as Sarah Lancashire meets the Queen Consort and makes Happy Valley admission about another series

A heartwarming TikTok video captured the moment actress Sarah Lancashire met Camilla at Buckingham Palace, who appeared to be a big fan of hit BBC show Happy Valley.

Lead actor Sarah Lancashire, who plays Sgt Catherine Cawood in the police drama, was seen telling the Queen Consort that she couldn't do another series of the show as it was an 'emotional assault course' and 'would kill her'.

Sarah was among guests at Women of the World (WoW) Festival at Buckingham Palace, hosted by Camilla on Wednesday (March 8). Other guests included Strictly Come Dancing winner Rose Ayling-Ellis and former Iran prisoner Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe.

After a curtsy, Lancashire can be heard saying: "I am so delighted to meet you" as she and Camilla briefly hold hands.

The Queen Consort then responds to Lancashire, presumably praising the Happy Valley before the actres comically replies: "Well, there's no season four. It's all done.

"It's the right thing to do. We just can't keep doing it, it's an emotional assault course. To be honest, it would kill me."

Critics had hailed Happy Valley’s concluding episode as 'electrifying' and 'Bafta-winning' as Catherine and her sick nemesis Tommy Lee Royce (James Norton) met for a final showdown, marking the end after three intense seasons.

In the TikTok, shared by @QueenLancashire, Camilla then leans in and asks Lancashire: "So what are you going to do now?" to which she answers: "Well, at the moment I have just started to produce."

She continues: "I am amazed you found time to watch."

The conversation that follows cannot be heard on the short TikTok clip, but Camilla and Lancashire are seen smiling and laughing with one another.

Camilla, president of the Women of the World (WoW) Festival which has been staged across the globe and will welcome the public this week in London, was joined at the palace by women from across society, including entrepreneurs, entertainers, athletes, authors and journalists.
