THIS is the moment a nuclear warhead convoy passed through Glasgow accompanied by a police escort.
Footage found by the Nukewatch Twitter account shows three warhead carriers travelling along the M74 in the city’s Southside.
A police escort accompanied the military trucks, which the account said were travelling on Monday.
The account tracks and monitors the movement of Britain’s nuclear arsenal throughout the country.
Britain’s nuclear weapons are housed at Coulport and Faslane at two military bases.
We revealed earlier this week that there have been more than 50 radiation leaks at the bases so far this year.
The Ministry of Defence has stayed silent on the precise dates of these leaks and how it calculates their severity. It insists there has never been a serious leak.
