Watch as Fran Alonso celebrates Celtic's SWPL win over Glasgow City

This is the moment Fran Alonso let himself go amid Celtic Women's celebrations at Parkhead last night.

The Hoops defeated Glasgow City in a huge SWPL clash last night.

The match ended 3-1 to the hosts in front of a record-breaking crowd of 9,553 for a women's football match in Scotland.

And in doing so, Alonso's girls took a huge step towards beating City to the league title, with the race now looking like it will go down to the wire.

It was the visitors who took the lead after only 20 minutes, as Lauren Davidson fired City in front.

However, Celtic never gave up and fought battle with a valiant effort to claim all three points.

Tasha Flint netted the first for the hosts after the hour mark, with Claire O'Riordan and Kit Loferski rounding off the scoring.

At full-time, it was visible how much the result meant to the Hoops players, as well as the manager.

The Spaniard could hardly contain his excitement as he raced towards the packed-out bottom tier of the Jock Stein Stand to celebrate with the raucous crowd.

The passion was clear to see, as Celtic closed the gap on their title rivals to just two points.

Meanwhile, Celtic are eying up another raid of the Japanese market, according to a report.

Ange Postecoglou has Ryotaro Ito on the club’s transfer radar.

The Daily Record claims the Hoops are keen to bring younger options to his squad.

And it's said that Ito fits the bill, as the Scottish champions aim to strengthen in the middle to front areas of the team.
