Watch as Fran Alonso bursts into Celtic song mid-interview after Scottish Cup triumph

Celtic Women boss Fran Alonso delighted supporters as he burst into a fan chant mid-interview after the Scottish Cup triumph at Hampden.

The popular Parkhead manager is well known for his passionate celebrations and added to the collection of clips with a rendition of supporters' 'Celtic Glasgow' chant.

Alonso guided his side to a 2-0 win over Rangers at the national stadium to lift the Scottish Cup just one week on from the disappointment of missing out on the league crown.

Goals from Natasha Flint and Claire O’Riordan were enough to see Celtic lift the trophy at Hampden - the first time the final has been played at the national stadium.

And it was a second Scottish Cup triumph on the bounce for Celtic, with Alonso clearly thrilled as he burst into song in an interview with Celtic TV.

He said: "Back-to-back trophies, I think we deserve it. The only way I can describe this...Celtic Glasgow!

"Apart from that, I feel brilliant mate."

Fans loved the clip, with one responding: "Got tae love this guy...best interview ever. CELTIC GLASGOW"

Another commented: "I really like Fran and his passion for the team and the game is absolutely infectious.

"He’s really injected new life into the club and the league. Here’s hoping he can continue to bring success to Celtic."

A third added: "Congratulations @FranAlonsoFA your passion and positivity are priceless! So very well deserved!"

Quizzed on the accomplishment after the match, Alonso beamed: "It means the world to me. It was very hard to pick the girls up after we came within two minutes of winning the league last Sunday.

"It would have been a dream in front of a domestic record crowd. It was cruel for us. We transferred the anger and disappointment into aggression and passion.

"Today against a superb team we dominated the game. We could have scored more and I'm extremely proud.

"I was worried about the mental reaction, if they didn't win this game, but they never give up or let me down.

"It's a very, very special day for me and my family. The fans were singing for 90 minutes once again. We are doing something very special at the football club and today is just one step more.”
