Watch as ex-Rangers striker Sam Lammers scores another classy goal for Twente

Former Rangers striker Sam Lammers scored another classy goal for Twente this weekend.

The ex-Ibrox forward, 27, has nine goal for the Eredivisie club this season - seven in the league and two in the Europa League.

Lammers added to his tally on Sunday as Twente earned a 2-0 win over RKC Waalwijk.

The Dutch striker bamboozled the opposition defence as he expertly controlled on the spin and then cut back into the far corner of the net.

Lammers controlled the ball on the edge of the area, spinning into the box before cutting on to his left where he then swept the ball into the net with a clever reverse finish.

The strike opened the scoring for the hosts after 28 minutes with Twente going on to score again seven minutes from time as Sem Steijn wrapped up the points.

After leaving Rangers to join Twente, Lammers commented: "I've played football at Utrecht for the last six months and I think it's also good for me to play in the Netherlands. I think I've made good progress in recent years, but particularly at Utrecht. I want to continue that and at Twente, that's a good opportunity.

"I still have a lot of ambitions myself and Twente has them too. The progress they have made in recent years speaks for themselves."

And Twente technical direct Arnold Bruggink admitted he didn't think they could pull off such a transfer coup.

He said: "This transfer seemed unachievable at first.

"But as always in a transfer window, opportunities arise.

"And Sam made it clear he wanted to play which was an advantage to us. I think he fits in very well with us as a striker and in terms of personality."
