Jose Angel Iribar and Jon Uriarte laid a wreath outside Ibrox ahead of the Europa League quarter-final tie between Rangers and Athletic Club tomorrow evening.
Iribar, who played against Rangers in the 1968-69 Inter-Cities Fairs Cup, led the party alongside Uriarte as flowers were placed outside the stadium in memory of those who sadly lost their lives in the tragedies of 1902 and 1971.
Rangers CEO Patrick Stewart joined the group. Athletic president Uriarte said: "We are looking forward to tomorrow.

"We wanted to show our respect to Rangers Football Club and their fans with this tribute and these flowers in respect of those who lost their lives in the tragedies of 1902 and 1971.

Rangers go into the game having lost their last five home matches in all competitions.
Barry Ferguson's side, however, have coped admirably on the European stage this season, coming up with several eye-catching performances against the likes of Nice, Tottenham Hotspur and Fenerbahce.
Athletic boss Ernesto Valverde finds their recent run at Ibrox perplexing: "I view that as something extraordinary, the run of losses," he said.
"[It has] never happened before. I watched Rangers against Hibs, they had more chances and didn’t make the most of them. Rangers are a good team at home. Let’s see what Rangers show up."
