Even in the NFL, the rivalry between the Michigan Wolverines and Michigan State Spartans does not die. Lions rookie DE Aidan Hutchinson made sure of that after a recent practice session.
Hutchinson is a proud Michigan man, the son of another former Wolverine player too. So when a fan came up to Hutchinson to sign a Michigan State football, the Wolverine showed some snarl. He refused to sign for the fan — good-naturedly but also seriously.
That’s not an ordinary ball, by the way. Dana Nessel, who tweeted that it is her son seeking the autograph, is the attorney general of the state of Michigan. The ball was given to her by Spartans head coach Mel Tucker.
What happened when my smart ass Spartan son tried to get @aidanhutch97 to sign the MSU football @Coach_mtucker was kind enough to give me. NOPE. #Lions #OnePride pic.twitter.com/zIWJu7JTOs

That’s a memory the young man will never forget, even if he didn’t get Hutchinson’s signature.
