It's set to be a wet start to the year, as rain dominates the forecaster for the first week of January.
According to forecasters, it will be mostly cloudy today, Thursday, January 5, and rain will accompany. Drizzle is set to arrive from the south in the afternoon however the temperature will be mild, with highs of 12C.
It will be increasingly wet in the evening, as heavy rain moves in from the northwest, according to the Met Office. Friday will be much of the same, with a clearer morning but showers in the afternoon.

Sunshine and showers will follow on Saturday. The heavier and more blustery showers will hit on Sunday and Monday, with coastal winds expected into next week.
The BBC outlook for the weekend reads: "Saturday morning will see a band of rain move through from the west, this clearing later to leave a mix of bright spells and showers. A windy day.
"Sunday will remain blustery and unsettled with mostly cloudy skies and further showers moving in from the west. Monday looks to see patchy cloud and a few showers continue to move in from the west, these perhaps wintry on the hills."
