Public transport services in Washington, D.C. have been disrupted due to outages that occurred on Friday, as reported by the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA).

The WMATA website and several internal systems are currently experiencing downtime, with the transit authority's IT teams actively working to resolve the issue.

According to WMATA, the disruptions have led to delays in the operation of trains, which are being held up from their usual 5 a.m. start time. Additionally, bus services may also experience delays as a result of the outages.
