Washington Commanders' rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels will undergo additional tests on Monday after sustaining a rib injury during the team's game against the Carolina Panthers. Head coach Dan Quinn provided limited information on Daniels' status, stating that updates will be shared once more details are known.

Daniels' mother, Regina Jackson, reassured fans on social media by indicating that he is doing fine. Part owner Magic Johnson also expressed his hopes for a speedy recovery for Daniels.

Following the injury, veteran quarterback Marcus Mariota stepped in for Daniels and led the team to a 40-7 victory over the Panthers. Mariota threw for two touchdown passes and 205 yards in relief.
