Tickets to attend Sunday’s game between the Philadelphia Eagles and Washington Commanders are the most expensive in NFC Championship history. As of Friday, the average price of admission was a whopping $1,263, with a get-in cost of $781. But it may not be all green in the stands for the game, as it appears that a high volume of ticket sales are being made by Commanders’ fans.
Report: 20% Of Ticket Sales Coming From Commanders Fans
Demand is always high for premiere sporting events in Philadelphia. They have one of the more passionate fan bases in any given professional sport, and especially when their football team is contending for a championship. The high price tag for tickets to the NFC Championship isn’t exactly surprising, as the Eagles had the 3rd-most expensive home tickets during the regular season, behind only the Detroit Lions and Las Vegas Raiders.
But the location of the purchases suggests that there will be a contingent of Washington fans in the house. According to TickPick (via Dov Kleiman on X/Twitter), over 20% of ticket purchases for the game have come from Virginia and Maryland, where Commander fandom runs rampant.

It makes sense for Washington fans to drive the 2.5 hours northeast to support their team in such a massive game. The Commanders finished the year with the most wins the franchise has seen since their Super Bowl winning season back in 1991, and have been able to win their first playoff games since 2005 over the last few weeks. Fans of the team are starved for success after a rough couple of decades that included an identity shift and seven different head coaches, and the numbers show that they are paying the high price tag to attend on Sunday.
Tickets to the game at Lincoln Financial Field are far higher than those in Kansas City on Sunday. While the AFC matchup between the Chiefs and Bills may be considered the premiere and must-see contest of the weekend, the get-in prices are 175% cheaper than on the NFC side. As of Friday, the cheapest single ticket to get into Arrowhead Stadium was going for $284.
