Just a week after being re-introduced, Plunder is once again being removed from Call of Duty: Warzone 2, or is it?
UPDATE: Plunder (Quads) is still available as a playable game mode in Warzone 2, despite the weekly playlist update not mentioning the mode as playable from May 24 onwards.
The popular Plunder game mode was finally introduced to Warzone 2 in the title's latest content update, Warzone 2 Season 3 Reloaded, earlier this month. After making its debut in the original Warzone, Plunder was a much-loved game mode for Call of Duty players, giving them an more chilled-out way to level up your weapons, thanks to the unlimited respawns.
And, for a week at least, players have been able to play Plunder to their heart's content, alongside the new Warzone Ranked mode. But for reasons no one quite fully understands, Plunder is set to be removed from Warzone 2 once again at around 6pm BST / 1pm EDT / 10am PDT today, being replaced by Battle Royale Duos, Trios and Quads.
Activision confirmed the weekly playlist for May 24 onwards on a blog post following the launch of the new content update, but is yet to confirm any playlist changes after that, so we don't know when Plunder will return to Warzone 2 yet.
It's not just Plunder that's being removed either, with Mini-Royale (solos) also being made unavailable for players from later today. That leaves four modes on the May 24 Warzone 2 weekly playlist, each having a variety of squad size options:
- Ranked Play (Beta) - Trios
- Battle Royale - Duos, Trios, Quads
- Ashika Resurgence - Duos, Quads
- Massive Resurgence - Solos, Trios
These modes will be available until Wednesday, May 31 at around 6pm BST / 1pm EDT / 10am PDT, when a new playlist will be introduced.
