With a much-needed win on Thursday, the Golden State Warriors will have the chance to even the series with the Sacramento Kings in Game 4 on Sunday at San Francisco’s Chase Center.
Without Draymond Green due to suspension, Steph Curry notched 36 points to lead the Warriors as Kevon Looney grabbed 20 rebounds to help secure their first win in the playoffs against the Kings in the first round.
Despite the absence of Green and Gary Payton II, the Warriors’ defense stifled the Kings’ offense, holding the high-powered unit to only 97 points, their lowest-scoring output of the playoffs.
In Game 4, the Warriors will have the chance to welcome back both Green and Payton II to the rotation. After missing Game 3 due to an illness, Payton II is listed as probable for Sunday’s contest.
