Warriors rookie Moses Moody to start vs. Rockets on Monday

With Otto Porter Jr. and Draymond Green out on Monday against the Houston Rockets, the Golden State Warriors will need to add a player to the starting lineup with Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, Andrew Wiggins and Kevon Looney.

To start the first leg of a back-to-back in Texas, Steve Kerr is giving rookie Moses Moody the start against the Rockets.

Before Monday’s contest in Houston, the Warriors recalled Moody from their G League affiliate in Santa Cruz. Moody is coming off a 27 point performance with G League Santa Cruz on Monday against the Austin Spurs.

During nine games in the G League, Moody is averaging a red-hot 27.4 points on 47.8% shooting from the floor with 6.2 rebounds and 1.6 assists per contest.

After showing out in the G League, Moody will get the chance to make an impact in the NBA on Monday against the Rockets. The Warriors will tip-off in Houston at 5 p.m. PT.
