It’s hard to say what Jordan Poole did wrong here on this play.
On Tuesday, the Golden State Warriors were visiting the Oklahoma City Thunder, with the team coming off a recent five-game win streak. Unfortunately for the Warriors, they lost yet another road game — this time 137-128 — but fans were quite perplexed after Poole picked up a bizarre technical foul earlier in the game.
During the early stages of the fourth quarter, Poole was hit with a technical for bounce passing the ball to a referee after the play was called dead. Given Poole’s reaction to the foul, even he couldn’t believe he was being tagged for something as innocuous as that.

That definitely feels weak compared to other plays referees have let go in the past. No wonder Poole — and the Warriors announcers — reacted the way they did after that one.
