Warriors’ Andrew Wiggins tallies 10 points in NBA All-Star Game debut

While Steph Curry took over the All-Star Game with a 50 point performance on the way to the Most Valuable Player award, the Golden State Warriors had another member on the floor on Sunday in Cleveland.

Across from Curry, Andrew Wiggins suited up with the starters for Team Durant. In his All-Star Game debut, Wiggins tallied 10 points on 4-of-7 shooting from the floor with an assist in 15 minutes.

Wiggins followed his sharp-shooting All-Star teammate with a pair of triples on four attempts from beyond the arc. Wiggins also showed off his bounce with a two-handed dunk along the baseline.

Along with his appearance in the All-Star Game on Sunday, Wiggins made a cameo in the dunk contest on Saturday night. In the opening round of the Slam Dunk Contest on Saturday night in Cleveland, Warriors forward Juan Toscano-Anderson jumped over Wiggins for a rim-rocking windmill jam.

As the push for a potential deep run through the playoffs begins, the Warriors will need to lean on Wiggins to continue his All-Star campaign when they return to the court from the break.

Through 54 games, the former No. 1 overall pick is averaging 17.7 points on 48.1% shooting from the field and 41.4% shooting from beyond the arc with 4.2 boards and 2.1 assists in 31.7 minutes per game.
