Advice has been issued for people who have been given discount vouchers for their energy bills.
The government previously announced the Energy Bills Support Scheme, which meant people could get a £400 boost for energy bills over winter 2022 and 2023. All households with domestic electricity connection are eligible for the discount.
The discount is automatic and will have first been applied to household electricity bills in October last year. A further £67 will be applied in February and March.

However, the way the discount is applied depends on how people pay for their energy. Those with a traditional prepayment meter receive their discount either by redeemable vouchers sent by text, email or post or an automatic credit when people top up at their usual top-up point.
However, Ofgem - the energy regulator - issued a warning that these vouchers do expire and what to do when they have gone out of date. The regulator said for people "not to worry" if it has expired as it is up to their supplier to issue people with a new one.
Some suppliers, if they can see that people have redeemed another month's voucher, are automatically reissuing vouchers that have expired. Ofgem warned people to check their post and email inbox.
People can also contact their energy supplier to check they have the right contact details and ask them to resend the voucher.
Once someone has the voucher, people can redeem it when they go to buy credit at any post office or PayPoint location.
