Manchester Airport bosses have issued an immediate warning to all passengers after an IT failure on Tuesday.
A tweet from the airport's official account warns of disruption, though says there are "contingencies" in place. It said: "Manchester Airport is currently experiencing an IT system outage which is affecting some of our processes.
"We have contingencies in place and are working with our airlines and other partners to keep disruption to a minimum, and to get travellers through the airport as smoothly as possible. Staff are on hand in our terminals to support.

"Passengers are advised to check with their airline for up-to-date travel advice. We apologise for any disruption this may cause to your journey and thank passengers for their patience."
Thousands of people fly into, and out of, Manchester Airport each day. The airport's website currently gives estimates of a 0-15 minute waiting time at security at each of its three terminals.
