Apple has said that anyone who has bought the latest iPhones recently may be waiting a while longer for it to arrive.
The contractor's factory in China has been forced to take on extra anti- Covid precautions, meaning the manufacture of the iPhone 14 Pro and the iPhone 14 Pro Max will likely be delayed.
Located in central China in the city of Zhengzhou, the factory is run by major manufacturing company Foxconn, Hull Live reports. Following an outbreak of Covid, the factory is now apparently operating at a "significantly reduced capacity".
No other details have been given, but a spokesperson from the company has said: "We now expect lower iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max shipments than we previously anticipated.
"Customers will experience longer wait times to receive their new products."
There have been questions about how the outbreak would affect the manufacture of the new iPhones, but Apple and Foxconn haven't provided a response.
People were unable to gain access to the industrial area where the factory is, because of the high numbers of infections in Zhengzhou. The sudden closure apparently led to workers leaving the factory.
"We are working closely with our supplier to return to normal production levels while ensuring the health and safety of every worker," Apple said.
