‘Warning: may contain neeps’ Dundee show for Scotland’s funniest farmer

Fire up the tractors because Scotland’s funniest farmer is coming to Dundee.

YouTube sensation Jim Smith is returning to the stage with his latest muck covered stand-up show later this year.

Following on from the phenomenal success of his last ‘ Back To The Teuchter ’ tour, the Perthshire farmer and comedian is set to don his checked shirt again.

His visit to Dundee's Whitehall Theatre in October is forming part of his brand new ‘The Hills Have Ayes’ tour

With his trademark mix of regional accents and impressions, Jim will share his tales of Scottish rural life and anecdotes from his changing world which has seen him get engaged, become a first time father and continue farming through Covid and Brexit.

As the show's streamline says: “Whether you live out in the sticks or embrace city life, there’s something for everyone as this ‘Teuchter’ tours the country once again. Warning: may contain neeps!”

Talking about the tour, Jim said: “"Delighted to be performing in Dundee to a melting pot of Dundonians, Angus fermers and Fifers!

“I live near the Tay so will probably just take the canoe to save on red diesel.

“Can't wait to see you all there!"

With sell out Fringe runs and national tours under his belt, when he's not on the farm Jim is in demand as a performer all over Scotland.

TV and radio credits include BBC Radio Scotland's Breaking The News, BBC Scotland's Scot Squad and BBC Short Stuff " The Farm Diaries.
