A warning has been issued to Barclaycard customers that they might have problems using their cards after a fault was found. They were alerted to the issue after some people were finding they could not use their card for contactless purchases.
As a result, the financial giant sent text messages to customers warning them about the problems. However, they reassured people that they could still use their cards if they know their pin number.
The message said: "You may experience problems using contactless on your Barclaycard - we're sorry about this.

"If you face issues you can still continue to make purchases using your PIN, mobile device, make payments online and withdraw cash as normal.
"We are urgently working to fix it. To save you calling us - we'll message you again when it is fixed. Thanks for bearing with us. Your Barclaycard team."
