Warning for drivers after 'suspicious man' spotted trying doors

Police have issued a warning after a "suspicious" man was spotted trying doors of homes and cars.

Merseyside Police urged people in Wallasey to be "vigilant with their home and vehicle security" after receiving reports of a man acting suspiciously over multiple consecutive nights in around the village. They said the man had been trying doors and looking for "insecure vehicles, homes and garages" in the area.

Police have asked people to "take a second" and ensure all doors and windows are secured before leaving the home. They said to double check vehicles are locked after parking and to remove any valuables from them.
