Dublin Fire Brigade are appealing for the public to follow fire safety advice after extinguishing a shed fire in Kilbarrack yesterday.
The shed contained a washing machine as well as a dryer . The firefighters were able to prevent the blaze from spreading to the main house, but cautioned people to be vigilant of fire around electrical appliances.
“Fit a smoke alarm in the room or area where a washing machine or a dryer is located. Plug high energy items directly in to a wall socket, do not use an adaptor and never use these appliances after you go to bed or leave the house,” Dublin Fire Brigade wrote on Twitter.
