Nottingham bank holiday weather Met Office forecast amid highs of 17C

The upcoming bank holiday weekend is expected to be hotter as the UK prepares for warmer weather in early May. The Met office has confirmed that the weekend of Friday, April 28 to Monday, May 1, will be "much warmer than average" for the time of the year.

Over the weekend Nottingham will reach highs of 17C, and whilst there will be sunny intervals there will also be some light rain and clouds. Regarding the East Midlands, the Met Office states: "Some patchy light rain lingering on Friday morning, but mostly dry and cloudy.

"More unsettled into the weekend with rain and showers at times on Saturday and Sunday." However, the warmer temperatures will mostly be seen in the south east of England, as weather maps show the potential for hot African air to travel up through the continent reports the Daily Express.
