Warframe is already 11 years old but still has a thriving player base and continues to receive regular updates as a live-service title.
Many players already have a solid foundation with developer Digital Extremes' shooter. However, a lot of newcomers can feel intimidated getting into it. Fortunately, this beginner's tips and tricks guide aims to help you learn the basics and get comfortable.
Beginner Weapon
When you start off in the game, you will have to choose among several weapons that include both ranged and melee options. A popular choice for beginners is the Braton assault rifle as it is generally more useful than something like the Paris bow.
You also get to choose a secondary weapon of either the Lato pistol or the Kunai. The latter is particularly useful to avoid tripping alarms if you choose to be a stealth player. For melee weapons, your options are the Skana sword or the Bo staff, according to Kotaku.
Try To Fill Out the Star Chart
In Warframe, the Star Chart is basically a map of all the planets that you can visit with points of interest all over it. You should focus on playing all the stages in each planet to get the most out of your experience.
As you fill out your Star Chart, you will more or less find an organic path through the game. Paths to other planets are major milestones that also serve as barriers with specific requirements. It is recommended to hold off on leaving Earth if you are feeling overwhelmed.
Do Daily and Weekly Missions
There are a variety of missions that players can complete in Warframe that offer a variety of rewards. An example of these are invasions where you are tasked to choose to either help the Grineer or Corpus for three missions.
These missions are particularly useful as they reward you with either the Detonite Injector or the Fieldron. Both are used to craft many different types of weapons that can come in handy sometime in the future, Game Spot said.
On the other hand, Clem's Weekly Mission is a 10-minute Survival mission where you just need to protect Clem. This is a very good way of leveling up weapons and Warframes. It is also a good source of resources.
Learn About Enemy Factions
Warframe also features various factions that each have their own unique strengths and weaknesses. Knowing about your enemies is the first step to actually being good enough to beat them.
The Grineer have very tanky members who are equipped with powerful weaponry but are not sophisticated when it comes to security. The next faction is The Corpus, which uses drones in combat against enemies.
The last faction is The Infestation, which tries to swarm players with vicious members that can drain your energy, according to USA Today.
