POLICE have publicly released images and descriptions of more than a dozen people wanted as part of a targeted domestic violence operation across the region.
Lake Macquarie, Newcastle and Port Stephens Hunter police have posted appeals for information on their social media feeds in the past day of at least 15 people facing outstanding warrants across the three districts.
The pleas for public help are part of an intelligence-based policing strategy - codenamed Operation Amarok - with each police region's Domestic Violence High-Risk Offender Teams (DVHROT) and other specialist officers involved.
Operation Amarok is a statewide campaign aimed at targeting dangerous domestic violence offenders and arresting people with outstanding warrants for domestic and family violence matters.
The last blitz under Operation Amarok across four days in May saw police arrest more than 550 people across the state, including 51 in the Hunter, and lay 1070 charges.
Anyone with information about the wanted people, or about domestic and family violence offenders, should contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or make a report online. Information is treated in strict confidence.
Reports of domestic and family-related crime or abuse can be made by contacting or attending the local police station near you. In an emergency, call triple zero (000).
Information about the NSW Police response to domestic and family violence can be found on the force's website.
