Wanted murderer Jason Mills arrested in Bristol after disappearing from HMP Leyhill

Avon and Somerset Police have confirmed that Jason Mills has been arrested today (April 8) in Bristol after failing to return to HMP Leyhill.

Mills, 49, was wanted by police after he failed to return to the prison having been on day release on Wednesday, April 6. He was arrested by British Transport Police in the vicinity of Bristol Temple Meads earlier today.

Police say they are "hugely grateful" to all members of the public who shared the appeal to find Mills, as well as those who called in with information.
