Wanderers ALW side part ways with coach Hooker

Western Sydney Wanderers are on the hunt for a fourth permanent A-League Women coach in as many years after announcing Robbie Hooker's exit from the club.

Hooker was not involved in the Wanderers' 4-4 draw with Melbourne Victory last week and in a two-line statement the club said on Tuesday the mutual termination was "due to personal reasons".

The technical director of the club's female academy, Geoff Abrahams, will replace Hooker on an interim basis, starting with Thursday's home clash against Wellington Phoenix.

The Wanderers currently sit 11th on the ALW table with just a solitary win from their opening nine games.

Underwhelming results have been a constant throughout the Wanderers' 12-seasons as an ALW side, having made the finals just once in that timespan.

Hooker went desperately close to ending the club's wait for a finals place last season only for the Wanderers to miss out on a play-off berth on goal difference.
