A walker was stretchered to a waiting ambulance after suffering a suspected broken ankle at an Oldham beauty spot. A rescue operation was launched after the woman fell at Dovestones on Sunday.
Some 13 volunteers from Oldham Mountain Rescue team took part in the 90 minute operation. It was the team's third call-out in three days.

As the Manchester Evening News reported a walker was also air-lifted to hospital with a suspected broken ankle after falling at Birchen Clough, Saddleworth on Saturday evening.
In a statement OMRT said: "For the third incident in as many days for us, we received a request from North West Ambulance Service for assistance with the location, treatment and evacuation of a female who had fallen and suffered a potentially fractured ankle while out walking near Dovestones.
"After establishing that she was on the hillside above the reservoir, we accessed close to the location in our off-road buggy, making it easier to get personnel and kit to the casualty site. She was assessed and treated by our Casualty Carer before being packaged and carried on the stretcher to the NWAS ambulance."
