With Union flags flown at half mast, residents of Clipstone Avenue, in Walker, joined people across the nation in applauding in memory of Queen Elizabeth II.
There were cheers, the National Anthem, and children waving flags as residents of all ages paid their respects to the late Queen by participating in a nationwide clap for the Queen at 7pm this evening.
It took place four days after the Queen's passing on September 8, and just three months after the street celebrated Her Majesty's Platinum Jubilee with a huge street party.

Lynsey Henderson, who helped to organise the jubilee street party, said: "Everyone has been quite upset that the Queen has passed. The people who had flags up on flag poles for the jubilee have put them back up at half mast out of respect for the Queen."
Neighbour Pamela McKenna organised Clipstone Avenue's Clap for the Queen through a message in the street What'sApp group, which was set up because of the jubilee party.
Much like the Queen's Platinum Jubilee street party, there was a huge turn-out to commemorate Queen Elizabeth II as around 50 residents lined the street.
It was the Queen's Platinum Jubilee that brought the community together on Clipstone Avenue. And residents on the street have maintained that sense of togetherness since the celebrations.
