Wales rugby star Taulupe Faletau marries fiancée Charlotte Rhys-Jones as he posts sweet message

Welsh international rugby star Taulupe Faletau has married his fiancée Charlotte Rhys-Jones on the weekend.

The couple have been in a serious relationship for close on six years and have two sons together in three-year-old Israel and Ezekiel, who will celebrate his first birthday next month.

His new wife Charlotte is the sister of Emma Rhys-Jones, who married her long-time partner, Wales and world football star Gareth Bale, in a hush-hush ceremony on the island of Tagomago, off Majorca, in the summer.

Faletau posted a picture on his Instagram account of the happy couple together on the side of a fairway at the Celtic Manor Resort, in Newport, which hosted the Ryder Cup in 2010.

He captioned the sweet snap with the following: "For the rest of our lives. 07.12.2019."

Bath No.8 Faletau has been out injured all season following surgery on a collarbone injury sustained during training for the Rugby World Cup.

It's the latest in a catalogue of injuries the Lions back-rower has had since moving to the West Country from the Dragons in the summer of 2016.

And with the Gallagher Premiership side unable to put a timescale on his return to action, it casts doubt whether new Wales coach Wayne Pivac will have the star available to him for the start of the Six Nations Championship against Italy, in Cardiff, on February 1.

He missed the whole of the 2019 Grand Slam campaign recovering from surgery on a broken forearm, as well as the World Cup.

His last Welsh appearance came against France in the 2018 Six Nations Championship.
