Wales fan's brutal one-word response when Sky reporter tries to talk to him after match

A nation is dejected after Wales' disappointing 2-0 defeat by Iran all but killed their hopes of progressing through to the knockout stages of the World Cup.

The pre-match optimism was completely ruined by two stoppage-time goals from Iran, which leaves Wales with a mountain to climb in their final group game against England on Tuesday. They also need other results to go their way, too.

The Red Wall inside the Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium made their voices known and tried to spur on their team, but to no avail as Wales put in a dismal performance against the lowest-ranked side in their group.

And, suffice to say, dejection filled the air for those in red shirts around the stadium after the match.

A Sky News reporter, who was live on air shortly after the final whistle, tried to capture the mood of the dejected fans on camera, quizzing Welsh supporters on how they felt as they poured out of the ground in Doha.

The reporter approached one Welsh fan and said: "Guys, you're live on Sky News your reaction to the win?"

The supporter curtly replied: "We lost."

As the reporter tried to correct himself by rephrasing the question – "Sorry, your reaction to the loss?" – another member of the Red Wall was heard making his opinion known in the background.

The reporter turned his attention to the second fan and asked the question once again, to which he received the response: "Uh, s**t!"

"Apologies for the language," the reporter said as he walked away.

While the foul language cannot be condoned, of course, the supporter all but summed up how Welsh fans are currently feeling after a defeat which renders their hopes of going through to the knockout rounds almost over.

The only way they can go through is if USA and Iran results go Wales' way, which you can read more about here , and the Welsh pull off arguably their greatest ever result by beating England on Tuesday.
