Tickets for Wales’ autumn internationals go on general sale today – and they are considerably cheaper than Six Nations matches.
Earlier this year it was announced that tickets to see Wales take on England in the 2023 Six Nations will top out at £130, while the same category of ticket to watch the Ireland game will be £120.
Category A – the most expensive – tickets to watch Wales face the All Blacks on November 5 will cost £105. While that’s £25 cheaper than the same seat to watch the England game, all ticket categories except the entry level Category E ticket have gone up by £10 compared to the same fixture last autumn.

However, tickets to watch Wales v Australia on November 26 are the same price as they were last autumn, with the top-priced ticket coming in at £75. The Argentina (November 12) and Georgia (November 19) games are more modestly priced, with the most expensive seats at £50 and £35 respectively.
Half price concessions are available for under-17s for all ticket categories, meaning fans could go to watch the game against the All Blacks for as little as £20 with a Category E ticket, with the same seat for the Georgia game costing just £5.
It is commonplace for autumn series tickets to be cheaper than their Six Nations counterparts, with the allure of competition rugby historically proving an easier sell for the WRU. However, the announcement of these ticket prices comes on the back of the Union failing to sell-out Six Nations matches against France – on a Friday night – and Italy earlier this year. WRU CEO Steve Phillips admitted attendances for those matches were disappointing.
However, it is expected that the All Blacks clash later this year will sell-out relatively easily and the match against the Wallabies will get close as it will be the last time the two teams meet before the 2023 Rugby World Cup pool stage. Wales also face Georgia at that tournament, though it would be some effort for that match to sell-out in Cardiff.
“We have another big campaign ahead this Autumn Nations Series with four home fixtures following our three-Test Series in South Africa this summer.” said Wales boss Wayne Pivac.
“Having fans back at Principality Stadium has been massive for the squad and we can’t wait for them to get behind us again in force this November.
“It’s always exciting when New Zealand come to town - they are consistently one of the best teams in the world.
“We’re looking forward to being able to test ourselves against them with our English-based players available and the opportunity to make our own bit of history
“We are also looking forward to taking on Argentina again in front of a home crowd, although the conditions this time out should be quite different to their visit to Principality Stadium last summer.
“For our final two matches we play Georgia and Australia who are both in our pool for Rugby World Cup 2023. They each present different challenges for us and these games will be really important preparation as the countdown to the tournament in France continues.”
Tickets are already on sale at community clubs across Wales but are also now available on the WRU’s website.
