Wagatha Christie trial show coming to Dublin's Gaiety Theatre this summer

The infamous Wagatha Christie trial will hit the stage in Dublin this summer.

The show, 'Vardy v Rooney: The Wagatha Christie Trial', is coming to the Gaiety Theatre from June 5-7. The comedy is based on Vardy's libel trial against Rooney for accusing her of leaking stories from her private social media account to the press.

The verbatim production is adapted from seven days of High Court transcripts from the trial reveals what went on behind closed doors in the case that dominated headlines last summer. According to producers: "Audiences can see first-hand, and in the words of Rebekah Vardy and Coleen Rooney, how the extraordinary week in court played out.

"Vardy v Rooney is a story stranger than fiction, with lurid one-liners and revelations blurring the boundaries of tabloid and court case, social media and soap opera."

The show premiered at London's Wyndham’s Theatre late last year and has upcoming dates booked as the West End's Ambassador's Theatre and all over the UK.

Tickets for the Dublin shows start from €21.50 and go on sale this Friday, March 10.
