Western Australia has recorded a dip in new COVID-19 cases for the third consecutive day, with a total of 5,626 infections reported in the 24 hours to 8pm on Saturday.

The number of people in hospital has risen to 155, including three in ICU.

There are now 36,960 active cases in the state.

Of those 2,829 were detected by a PCR test, while the remaining 2,797 came from self-reported rapid antigen tests.

There have been no new deaths, however on Saturday WA Health reported that four people had died with COVID-19.

They included three men, aged in their 40s, 60s and 90s, and a woman in her 60s.

Figures released by WA Health show a quarter of COVID-19 hospital patients were not vaccinated, 7 per cent received one dose, 39 per cent had two shots and 28 per cent had received more than two shots.

Overall, 95 per cent of West Australians over the age of 12 are double vaccinated and 71.8 per cent aged 16 and over have received their third dose.
