CHICAGO — Vice President Kamala Harris will deliver remarks on the final day of UnidosUS’ 2023 Annual Conference on July 22-24 at McCormick Place Convention Center in Chicago.
The Vice President’s remarks will focus on the economic power of the Hispanic community and how the Biden-Harris Administration is helping to move the country forward on the path to more significant equity, said the organization in a press release.
The UnidosUS Annual Conference gathers 1,500 attendees, and it is a unique opportunity for all who are in the business of social change for the Latino community.
Attendees represent all sectors—nonprofit, corporate, philanthropy, government, elected leaders, academia, entrepreneurs, researchers, advocates, young leaders, college students, and more.
The event expects to draw nationally recognized speakers, and attendees will have opportunities to hear from experts on issues impacting Hispanics in this country, such as economic empowerment and homeownership, education, health equity, developing the Latino workforce for the jobs of tomorrow, and defending our democratic rights.
Chicago is home to 24 UnidosUS Affiliates, including organizations in Chicago for over 120 years, such as Gads Hill Center and Erie Neighborhood House. It is a city of opportunity where Latinos are making influential contributions. Up to 1,500 Latinos are expected to visit Chicago as part of the event, contributing to the city’s economy and taking advantage of all the city offers.
