Voting has now opened for the UK's favourite parks, with 17 Greater Manchester green spaces nominated for the accolade.
Set up by charity Fields in Trust, the award gives the public the chance to 'shine a light' on the parks that are special to them. Any publicly accessible local park across the UK could be nominated, between Thursday June 9 until Tuesday 5 July.
Now, people can to vote for their favourite. The parks with the most votes in each of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland will be named 'national favourites,' and the overall winner the UK's Favourite Park 2022.

Any park placing within the top 20 percent of nominations will receive recognition as a 'local favourite.' Voting will close at noon on Thursday August 18.

- Marple Memorial Park, Stockport Road, Marple
- Fletcher Moss Park, Didsbury, Manchester
- Walkden Gardens, Sale, Greater Manchester
- Worthington Park, Sale, Greater Manchester
- Victoria Park, Stretford, Greater Manchester
- Peel Park, Salford, Greater Manchester
