Voters no longer trust Boris Johnson to tell the truth - and you deserve better

This week we’ve learned the truth about the criminality in Downing Street.

While the British people made huge sacrifices, Boris Johnson and Rishi Sunak broke the law. And then lied about it. Repeatedly.

Britain is facing a cost of living crisis. But what is the Government doing?

Lying. Boris Johnson is the first sitting Prime Minister to have broken the law. But he is brazenly clinging to the office he has so shamelessly abused. Taking his disrespect for the public to new depths.

It’s no wonder 20,000 Brits aren’t happy with the terms of the public inquiry: they no longer trust Boris to tell the truth.

Scrambling. The law-breaking Chancellor has been defending why his family can apparently pay less tax. While he’s been making yours pay more. One rule for them, another for everyone else.

Then distracting. In a blatant attempt to divert from their failings, the Prime Minister announced an unworkable and eye wateringly expensive plan channel crossings policy.

12 years of tired Conservative governments have led to energy bills soaring, prices rising, taxes hiked, and neighbourhood policing decimated.

Under the Tories, you’ve less money in your pocket, criminals are being off, and communities let down.

Labour is on your side.

We’re demanding the government get a grip of the spiralling cost of living crisis. We have a practical plan to take up to £600 off your energy bills.

We’ve been calling them out on surging anti-social behaviour. As Chief Prosecutor, I saw the blight it has on people’s lives. Labour will sort it out, by restoring neighbourhood policing.

We will keep money in your pocket and give you the safety and security you need in your community.

These local elections are a chance to send Boris Johnson a message. That you won’t be lied to. That he can’t ignore the cost of living crisis. That Britain deserves better.
