Vote for your Premier League Player of the Season as Man City and Arsenal stars dominate

Following an epic title race, Manchester City and Arsenal stars have been rewarded with five of the 10 places on our Premier League Player of the Season shortlist... and now we want you to pick your No1 player.

Erling Haaland is the most obvious name on the list given an incredible 36 League goals in his debut season to help City fight back and land the title. Haaland's team-mates Kevin De Bruyne and Jack Grealish are both included as well, while Arsenal's gallant efforts in pushing Pep Guardiola's champions all the way have been recognised with spots for Martin Odegaard and Bukayo Saka.

There are also representatives from the likes of top-four challengers Manchester United, Newcastle, Liverpool and Brighton, while there is room for one particular Tottenham star despite a tough season for Spurs. All that's left is for you to get involved and make sure you vote for your best top-flight player of the 2022/23 campaign below...

Premier League Player of the Season nominees

Martin Odegaard (Shaun Botterill/Getty Images)

Martin Odegaard (Arsenal): The Norwegian has well and truly stepped up to the role of captain this season. As well as leading from the front with his incredible pressing and off-the-ball work, he has added a goalscoring element that has made him the league's most prolific midfielder.

Bukayo Saka (AFP via Getty Images)

Bukayo Saka (Arsenal): Another stellar season for the 21-year-old who is not just one of the best young players in the league, but one of the best full stop. He has been irresistible at times down the right wing and has been crucial in Arsenal’s unexpected title push.

Mohamed Salah (PA)

Mohamed Salah (Liverpool): In the year of the coronation, Liverpool’s Egyptian king still reigns at Anfield. Salah’s goalscoring might have slipped under the radar outside Merseyside, but he remains their star man. This season he became the club’s top scorer in the Premier League era, moved to fifth on the all-time list, and was the first Reds player to net in nine successive home games as he notched a century of goals at Anfield.

Marcus Rashford (Matthew Peters/Manchester United via Getty Images)

Marcus Rashford (Man Utd): Rashford has enjoyed the most prolific scoring season of his career, benefitting from Erik ten Hag’s arrival to such an extent that he has become almost irreplaceable. He’s been key to United’s progress this season, and looks a player reborn under Ten Hag.

Erling Haaland (Getty Images)

Erling Haaland (Man City): What can you say? There’s never been anyone like Haaland in the Premier League, breaking records almost every week, and he could end up being the man that drives the Blues to an historic campaign. An extraordinary debut season, and who knows what's to come.
Lee Swettenham, deputy football editor, MEN

Harry Kane (Tottenham): Kane should be walking away with this prize scoring 28 league goals in this season within this mess of a Spurs side. During this campaign he's become the club's and England's all-time top goalscorer and has risen to become the second-highest goalscorer in the Premier League's history, shattering other records along the way. He's a wonderful player and Spurs will want to keep him at all costs.

Kieran Trippier ((Photo by Justin Setterfield/Getty Images))

Kieran Trippier (Newcastle): Trippier left Atletico Madrid for Tyneside last summer, and played a key role in Newcastle's top-four finish. The England full-back's crossing quality and defensive intelligence have been vital at either end of the pitch, while his experience of high-pressure environments proved invaluable helped Eddie Howe's Magpies squad keep their nerve to achieve their Champions League dream.

Alexis Mac Allister (CameraSport via Getty Images)

Alexis Mac Allister (Brighton): A dream campaign for the 24-year-old, winning the World Cup with a key role for Argentina along with starring for Brighton as the Seagulls qualified for the Europa League. The 24-year-old has proved himself an all-round midfielder with an eye for goal, and Europe's elite will come calling this summer - though Brighton will be able to console themselves with a hefty transfer fee.

Kevin De Bruyne (AP)

Kevin De Bruyne (Man City): It says a lot about De Bruyne's talent that while he has not always been at his best this season, he could still prove pivotal in a Treble-winning campaign for City. The Belgian has 16 assists (five more than his closest rival) along with seven strikes of his own for 23 league goal contributions, while his awesome performance in the 4-1 win over Arsenal helped turn the title race and could legitimately be the best single performance of the season.

Jack Grealish (Man City): As the first £100m English player, it's fair to say the pressure has been on Grealish since moving to Manchester in 2022. He played a bit-part role in City's title triumph last year, but now looks every inch a Pep Guardiola player. The England international does the dirty work in defence, presses from the front and pops up with vital assists and goals, taking his game to another level this term.
